Black Caviar will have just eight rivals in Saturday’s Group One Goodwood in Adelaide as the champion mare shoots for her 21st consecutive victory.
The Peter Moody-trained Black Caviar came up with barrier eight for the $500,000 feature at Morphettville.
Black Caviar, with Luke Nolen to ride, will carry topweight with 57kg, a half kilogram more than the Mark Kavanagh-trained Catapulted who came up with barrier two.
The Goodwood, a 1200m sprint, will be Black Caviar’s final appearance before she heads to England for the Group One Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot.
The world’s highest-rated sprinter, Black Caviar is at $1.04 with TAB Sportsbet to win Adelaide’s premier sprint.
Go The Knuckle, who has barrier three, is next in the market at $21.
Black Caviar attracted a crowd of 30,000 when she won the Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville last month.
South Australian racing officials are expecting another sell-out crowd on Saturday.
